I’m the Kelly in “Kelly Writing”

I’m the Kelly in “Kelly Writing.” Believe it or not, I spent a lot of time deciding on a name for this business. I kicked around ideas based off my initials, the services provided, even where I live. I wanted a name that was clear, concise and got to the point of what I do. “Kelly Writing” just seemed to fit. I’m Kelly. I’m writing. So, Kelly Writing.

Kelly Writing was born from a desire to help people put their lives, their stories, their business needs into words. I’ve always been a writer. Even before I ever earned a dime from my work. I was that kid who would choose an essay test over a multiple choice test. I’m the girl proof reading other people’s papers, writing their speeches, effectively wording flyers and emails.  Writing has always been something I enjoy, something I can do. Words, not numbers, are my strength…so please don’t ask me to figure out how x=y.

I’m momma to two – at the time of this publication – tweens. A daughter who we’ll call GirlChild and a son, BoyChild.  I’m married to my childhood sweetheart. We are multi-generation farmers. Our children are the 4th generation to grow up and live in my family’s home place. I’m certain stories about these folks will be in future blog posts.

I’ll use this blog to share work commissioned by clients. I’ll share original pieces that may be available for purchase as a download or printed work. I’ll also post stories from my own personal history.
